On September 7th, 2004 we were blessed with a bouncy baby boy. I don't know if he's stopped bouncing since :). Ryker will be 7 years old tomorrow. We celebrated his birthday this past weekend, and will have to do something special for his actual birthday. I like to blog about the kids on their birthdays so that someday they will be able to read what they were like at each age. This time I'm asking Britt what he would say about Ryker and here is what he has to say "Rykie is sweet and innocent yet stubborn and out spoken at the same time. He is extremely smart. He loves video games and is a mama's boy. I think he loves his mama more than anyone else in the world. He is very coordinated and a fast learner. Did I say he's stubborn? That should be in bold."
I have to agree with all that Britt has said. Rykie is a mama's boy and I am ok with that. He just started first grade a couple of weeks ago and when he has a bad day, he comes home and asks me to snuggle him. We go wrap up in blankies and snuggle for a few minutes and then all is right in his world again. I'm enjoying these days when my snuggles have such power. He draws me pictures constantly of himself and I. He always includes me in every book or school activity. I feel very loved by this little guy and I couldn't love him more! I'm so thankful for him each and every day and for being blessed to be his mother. He is very smart and very stubborn and yet still as sweet as can be. He is also my accident prone child. He's the only one of my children to have ever had stitches and he's had them twice now (both times on the forehead). He is brave and adventurous and seems to have no fear. He is a climber, a jumper, energetic, and a hugger to. Happy 7th birthday sweetie, we all love you so very much! In celebration of Ryker, here are some photo's of him as a baby and then a recent one from a few weeks ago.
